Louise B. Sanders, 83, of Greenville and formerly of Rossburg, passed away Friday evening, June 1, 2012 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. She was born February 5, 1929 in Rossburg, daughter of the late Henry and Hattie Irene (Moyer) Schlechty. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, the late Effie and Hershel Lamey. In addition to them, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace R. Sanders; a great granddaughter; a great grandson; step mother, Ruth Schlechty; brother, Charles Schlechty; step brothers, Marvin and Paul Howdieshell; step sister, Marjorie Gilbert; sister-in-law, Joyce Thornhill; and a brother-in-law, Donald Dull. Louise had worked 17 years at Roll Turkey Farms and for several more years as a seamstress for JoAnn Fabrics and Omni. She was a member of the Rossburg United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Michael (Ange) Sanders, Irene (Norman) Weaver, Sandra (Fred) Welch, and Audry (Rodney) Minnich; numerous grandchildren,  great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sisters, Alice (Robert) Wade, Imogene Dull; half brothers, Keith (Sue) Schlechty and Steve Schlechty; step sister, Mary Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 5 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Chaplain Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12 p.m. till 2 p.m. The family requests memorial contributions be given to the charity of the donors choice.
