Marcus A. Mayo

Marcus A. Mayo, 31, of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at his home.

He was born on May 25, 1992, in Greenville, Ohio, to Jade Mayo and Kristina (Cox) Gerace.

Marcus is also survived by his parents, Jade (Sheri) Mayo of Englewood, Florida; his sons, Grayson and Waylon; his siblings, Ashley (Nick Pellman) Mayo of Greenville, Ohio, Tyler Mayo of Greenville, Ohio, Brandon Johnson of Dayton, Ohio, and Madison Collins of Florida; his nieces and nephews. Jaden, Leevi, Wyatt, Brynlee, Rylee, and Avery; his grandparents, Vicki Mayo of Greenville, and Dick and Angela Condon of Russia, Ohio; his aunts and uncles, Shane and Shirley Mayo of Union City, Ohio, Cassidy and Travis Behnken of Arcanum, Ohio, and Chance and Amber Mayo of Union City, Ohio; and numerous other extended family members.

Marcus was preceded in death by his mother, Kristina (Cox) Gerace; his grandparents, John Cox, Karen Cox, and Kamper Mayo; his great grandparents, Albert and Juanita Mayo and Otto and Lela Ashley; and his uncle John W. Cox.

Marcus loved spending time with his boys. He enjoyed going fishing, whether it was in the creek, the Greenville ponds, or in the ocean. Marcus had a heart of gold and deeply loved his family, especially his sons. He also enjoyed playing ball with his nephews and chasing his nieces around. However, above all, being with his family brought Marcus true happiness.

A celebration of Marcus' life will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus with Pastor Don Smith officiating.

Family and friends may visit on Saturday from 5:00 PM until the start of the service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
