Marlene L. Brandon, 84, of Arcanum passed away Tuesday evening, November 18, 2008 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born in Ansonia, OH, daughter of the late Earl and Helen (Gibson) Hamilton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Brandon and a brother, Eldean Hamilton. Marlene was retired from the former Cadillac-Gage in Greenville. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lowell E. Brandon, whom she married August 11, 1941; two sons, Robert E. (Judy) Brandon of Greenville and Ronald (Kim) Brandon of Winchester, IN; grandchildren, Brian Brandon of Arcanum, Kelly Goodwin of Ansonia, Christine Miller of Leauge City, TX, Lisa Simpson of Arcanum, Kimberly Robinson of Greenville, Robert P. Brandon of Greenville and David Brandon of Menominee, MI; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Janet (Ron) Hildebrand of Apache Junction, AZ; and a sister-in-law, Mary Hamilton of Greenville. Services will be held Monday, November 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Terry Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Ft. Jefferson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2-4 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
