Martha Ann Long

Martha A, (Puterbaugh) Long, 94, went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Martha was born in Darke County on July 30, 1914 daughter of the late Abraham and Ann Puterbaugh.
Martha was a homemaker her whole life taking care of her family. She was loved and will be missed. Martha was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Greenville.
In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband who passed away on August 25, 1957; four brothers and five sisters.
Martha is survived by a daughter Shirley Duke of Greenville; two grandchildren Nikki and husband John Vanata of Greenville and Mark Duke and a special friend Amy Brown of Sidney; five great grandchildren, Heather Meade, Tyra and Brandon Vanata, Brianna Duke and Gavin Duke; many nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday November 6, 2008 at the Storch Braund Funeral Home in New Madison, Ohio with the Rev. Herschel Fee being asked to officiate. Friends and family may call 1 hour before the service on Thursday. Family request the memorial contributions be given to the Lighthouse Christian Center U-Turn Youth Group or the Brethren Retirement Community Residence Fund.
Services are entrusted to Storch Braund Funeral Home in New Madison.
