Michael D. "Mike" Ploch, 59, of Greenville, went to be with Jesus Wednesday morning, April 30, 2008 at his residence. Mike was born in Darke County, son of the late Esther (Goens) and Sherman Ploch. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Myrna and Clymer Harp. Mike worked at Neff Lettering in Greenville. He was a "Faithful Member" of the New Hope Baptist Church in Gettysburg where he was treasurer, trustee, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and most of all, the Pastor's right-hand man! Mike is survived by his wife, Gloria (Harp) Ploch whom he married on November 3, 1990; a loving son, Samuel Jason Ploch of Greenville; a sister, Cindy Ploch of Wayne Lakes; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Gayle Ploch of Greenville; a niece, Heather Ploch and a nephew Jason Ploch both of Greenville; and his church family at New Hope Baptist Church. Services will be held Saturday, May 3 at 11 a.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church, 231 Corwin St., Gettysburg with Pastor Terry Rex officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, 1000 N. Broadway, Greenville; Memorial contributions may be given to the family or to the New Hope Baptist Church where Mike was a "Faithful Servant" of his Lord and Savior!
