Michael K. "Mike"

Michael K. "Mike" Fields, 47, of Ansonia, passed away Monday morning, March 10 at his residence. He was born in Greenville, son of Robert and Mary (Hair) Fields of Ansonia. A 1978 graduate of Ansonia High School, Mike farmed all his life. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Ann L. Austerman, whom he married April 9, 1994; two children, Laura and James both at home; two brothers, Rex (Shelly) Fields of Union City, IN and Jon (Wanda) Fields of New Weston; and maternal grandmother, Virginia Hair of Greenville. Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Hair and his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Ruth Fields. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14 at the Bible Fellowship Church in Greenville with the Revs. Robb Kensinger and Chris Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Teegarden Cemetery near Ansonia. Friends may call at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral home in Greenville on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to either Bible Fellowship Church or State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice.
