Milton Orla Spencer, 91, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at State of the Heart Care Center in Greenville, Ohio.
Milton was born on May 2, 1928 in Darke County, Ohio to the late Orla and Jessie (Burns) Spencer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in by his brothers, Charles, Robert, Harry, Warren, Edward, and John Spencer, and his sisters, Sarah Smith, Violet Beasley, and Viola Jones.
Milton enjoyed the simpler things in life; camping, fishing and mushroom hunting. He worked for several years at Wayne Geeting Feed Mill in Savona, Ohio. Then he went to work at the T. A. Truck Stop in Eaton, Ohio until he retired. Following retirement, Milton spent a lot of time camping and fishing at Houston Woods.
Milton is survived by his wife of 71 years, Phyllis (Ahlering) Spencer, whom he married on May 2, 1948; his children, Jerry Spencer and his wife Barb of Saint Marys, Ohio, Charles Spencer and his wife Audrey of Arcanum, Mark Spencer and his wife Lisa of Arcanum, and Carol Carstensen and her husband Rich of Sidney, Ohio; his eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Fort Jefferson, at the convenience of the family.
The family has entrusted Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with the arrangements.
