Monica Lynn Laackmann

Monica Lynn Laackmann, 24, of Trotwood, Ohio, formerly of Greenville, Ohio, left this life behind on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her cousin, Zabrina Hale; her maternal grandmother, Margaret Hale; and her stepfather, Wayne Bryan Day.

She is survived by her beautiful daughter, Athena R. Werner; her mother and stepfather, Patricia (Day) and Justin Martin; her father, Ronald Ray Laackmann; her siblings, Andrew and Spring (Koger) Burns, Maleigha Day, Taylor Day, Bryan Day, and Ronald Howard Laackmann; her maternal grandparents, Steven and Cindy Hale; and her paternal grandmother, Jan Wingert. Additionally, there are numerous extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Monica's life will he held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Chenoweth Trails, 440 Greenville-Nashville Rd, Greenville, Ohio 45331

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tribute Funeral Homes until a permanent fund has been established. The goal is to raise $15,000 to cover current expenses and to provide financial support for Monica's daughter, Athena, to be used for her developmental therapy, counseling, or any other need that arises. Any funds above and beyond the initial goal will be split 60/40 between a trust for Athena and a small scholarship or donation to help parents who are dealing with depression that requires hospitalization.
