Nelson D. Keckler

Nelson David Keckler, 55, of (Wayne Lakes) Greenville, OH, went home to be with the Lord,Friday morning, February 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Fostoria, Ohio, son of the late Getus and Betty (Brandon)Keckler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Barney and David Keckler,and a sister Betty Lou Keckler. Nelson worked for the City of Fostoria for several years prior to moving to Greenville where he worked for the Darke County Youth for Christ. He is survived by his wife, Sandra A. (Fitzpatrick) Keckler; children, Mike Keckler of Arcanum and Liz (Clarence, Jr.) Hipshire of Greenville; grandchildren, Devin and Tristan Keckler, Xander and Noah Hipshire; brothers and sisters, Toby "Lois" (Roger) Jarrett, Cindy (Walt) Criss both of Fostoria, Ohio, Carol (Robert) Smith of North Carolina, Sharon (John)Fox of Fostoria, Ohio, Wayne (Dee Dee) Keckler of Collins, Ohio. Services will be held at the Pleasant View Missionary Church, Wednesday, March 4 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Donations may be made to the Pleasant View Missionary Church.
