Norma Jean Devor

Norma Jean Devor, 77, of Greenville, passed away early Sunday morning, April 19, 2009 at Wayne Hospital in Greenville. She was born in Darke County, the daughter of the late Norman and Mary Leola (Byrnes) Tedder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard A. Tedder. Jean had worked at various jobs throughout her life, but her most important was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Webb J. Devor, whom she married on October 29, 1950; her daughter, Annette J. Blankenship of Greenville; granddaughters, Bethaleen J. Blankenship and Katrina N. Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Alana C. Blankenship and Lilliana Rose Blankenship; sisters, Barbara L. (Harvey) Zimmerman of Christiansburg, OH, and Rebecca Louise Liette of Greenville; sister-in-law, Sharon Tedder of Greenville; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and loving friends. A service for family and close friends will be held Thursday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Sam Hoeflich officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive family and close friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to American Heart Association.
