Oliver F. Staley

Oliver F. Staley, 72, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 24, 2008 at the Versailles Health Care Center. He was born in Richmond, IN son of the late Reese M. and Dallice M. (Gerrain) Staley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Staley on March 17, 2007; a brother, Reese M. Staley, Jr. and a sister, Martha Hobbs. Oliver was retired from American Aggregates where he had worked for 28 years in maintenance. He was a life member of the Greenville Eagles. He is survived by his children, Debbie (Greg) Landis of Greenville and Charles "Chuck" (Paula) Staley of Bradford; grandchildren, Nicholas and Mindy Dotson, Kendra and Jessica Landis, Stacey Gilpin, Samuel Gullia and Tori Staley; step grandchildren, Brian, Miranda and Michael Osborne; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Jane Custer of Centerville, IN; two brothers, Leroy Staley of Greenville and George Staley of Richmond, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Mike Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Snell Cemetery. The will be no public visitation.
