Patricia A. Bernard

Patricia A. Bernard, 65, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 2, 2008 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. She was born in Versailles, the daughter of the late Harold D. and Annabelle (Herrmann) McClellan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Zircher. A homemaker, Pat had previously worked at Vint's Restaurant in Greenville. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald J. Bernard, whom she married July 2, 1966; a son, Christopher J. (Kristie) Bernard; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Justin and Josh Bernard and Brad, Shane and Alex Sizemore; a brother, Richard (Joann) McClellan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday, December 8, at 10:30 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. John White officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 7, from 2-4 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Lung Association.
