Pearl E. Steiner (Glick), 84, of Arcanum, passed away March 22, 2009 at the Gade Nursing Home in Greenville. Pearl was born January 16, 1925, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Gingery) Glick.
Pearl was a graduate of the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing and worked as an RN at the Heartland Nursing Home in Greenville. She was a member of the Castine Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday School. Pearl loved to crochet, read and most of all spend time with her grandchildren.
Pearl is survived by a daughter-in-law Rebecca Steiner of Greenville; grandchildren, Lisa and husband Donnie Trobridge of Fort Recovery and Chris Shaw of Union City, Ohio; great grandchildren, Caleb and Trenten Trobridge; brother Dave Glick of Greenville; and a special friend Carol Netzley and son Brad Netzley.
In addition to her parents, Pearl is preceded in death by her husband Walter B. Steiner; a son, Richard B. Steiner; and a brother Ted Glick.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Storch Braund Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 with Rev. Gordon Jones being asked to officiate. Friends may call on the family from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Storch Braund Funeral Home. Burial with follow in the Castine Cemetery
Family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Gade Nursing Home Residence Aid Fund or Abbotsville Methodist Church, donations being received at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.storchbraundfuneralhome.com. .
