Rebecca Louise (Tedder) Liette, 88, of Greenville, Ohio, formerly of Ansonia, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
She was born on March 2, 1935, in Brown Township, Darke County, to the late Norman and Leola (Byrne) Tedder.
Rebecca is survived by her children, Tim Liette of Greenville, Ted (Jona) Liette of Greenville, Tony (Tami) Liette of Ansonia, Terri (David) Watts of Greenville, and Telisa Jaros of Greenville; her grandchildren, Adam (Melinda) Liette, John (Megan) Liette, Brianna (Matthew) Morris, Lanie (Matt) Denlinger, Lexi (Shane) Sleppy, Cpt. Brandon Liette (US Army), Tessa Liette, and Ryan Jaros; her great grandchildren, Rose, Teddy, Ramsey, Bailee, Finley, Hannah, Becklee, and Wrenley, with Baby Denlinger on the way; her step grandsons, Dave (Nancy) Watts and Brian (Dani) Watts all of North Carolina; her 5 step great grandchildren and 4 step great-great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Harvey Zimmerman of Christiansburg, Ohio; her sisters-in-law, Margaret Wright of Fort Recovery, and Doris Harshman of Spartanburg, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews; and her fur babies, Neko and Coco.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon "Pert" Liette, whom she married on May 14, 1955, and who passed away on August 1, 1999; her siblings, Barbara Zimmerman, Norma Jean (Webb) Devor and Richard (Sharon) Tedder.
Rebecca was a 1953 graduate of Ansonia High School. Aside from raising her family, she worked for FRAM in Greenville for 16 years until she retired in 1995 to care for her husband. Rebecca enjoyed painting and tending to her flower gardens. In her early years, Rebecca enjoyed going bowling. Overall, she loved being with family and enjoying time with her grandchildren.
A celebration of Rebecca's life will take place at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Alliyah Greaver officiating. Burial will follow in Ansonia Cemetery.
Guests may visit with Rebecca's family on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the start of the service at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
