Richard Kight

Richard Earl "Rick" Kight, 60, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at EverHeart Hospice in Greenville, Ohio.

Rick was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on May 4, 1961, to the late Sarah Robinson.

In addition to his mother, Rick was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Erma Jane Kight.

Rick was a 1980 graduate of Northwest High School in Lucasville, Ohio. He had a big personality and was liked by all. Rick loved music, especially Classic Rock. He loved going to church, going to the movies, and going out to eat. Rick loved to collect cookbooks and maps. He enjoyed people and was always able to make others laugh with a joke and his great sense of humor.

Rick is survived by his sister, Nyoka Robinson and her significant other, Robert Seay, of Ashville, North Carolina; his nieces, Sarah Watkins, Audrey Robinson, and Marilyn Bailey, all of Ashville; his aunt, Yvonne Johnson, her children Brenda Pierson, John Johnson, Terri Frazee, Cynthia Johnson, Deanna Johnson and their families; his special friends Celia and Joe Crosby, and his cousins, Tom Archer, Jodi Robinson, and Tom Robinson.

A Celebration of Rick's life will be held in Asheville, North Carolina at a later date.
