Robert E. Mullins, 64, of New Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 22, 2008 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. Robert was born on January 14, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late David E. and Bertha E. (Baker) Mullins.
Robert was a semi driver for over 30 years for Ohio Softwater and Marlou Foods. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son David and several brothers and sisters.
Robert is survived by his wife Susannah (Pretzman) Mullins; two sons Robert and wife Christine Mullins of New Madison and Christopher and wife Erica Marshall of Greenville; four daughters, Victoria and husband Milan Hart of Greenville, Kimberly and husband David McBlane of Wilmington, Ohio, Madonna and husband Daniel Purvis of Hollansburg and Katherine Mullins and Fiance Joe McCombs of New Madison; eighteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister Lucinda Bibb of Vandalia.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 11:00 A.M. at the Storch Braund Funeral Home in New Madison with the Rev. Todd Reish being asked to officiate. Friends and family may call on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Contribution may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
