Robert L. Heiser

Robert L. Heiser, 83, of Greenville, passed away late Thursday evening , June 26, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Darke County, son of the late Joseph and Ethel (Trissel) Heiser. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Glen and Grant Heiser, and 3 sisters, Emmeline Holdeman, Kathryn Sargent and Martha Boise. Robert was retired from Chrysler in Dayton after 30 years. He was a member of the Woodington Congregational Christian Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred O. (Gibson) Heiser, whom he married November 16, 1946; a daughter, Carol (Terry) Haworth of Ansonia; a son, James (Irma) Heiser of Greenville; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) List, Jason (Kendra) Haworth, Julie Haworth Bath, Jeanna (Eric) York all of Greenville, Greg (Heather) Heiser of Arcanum and Jamie (Jim) Stuckey of Delaware, OH; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Niswonger of Florida. Services will be held Monday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville with the Revs. Terry Haworth and Jim Fulton co-officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, June 29 from 2-5 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Woodington Church.
