Robert L. Liebherr, 73, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away early Friday morning, April 17, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Dayton, OH, son of the late George F. and Loretta M. (Gerard) Liebherr. Robert was a 1953 graduate of Port William High School in Port William, OH. He had worked at NCR and the Dayton Fire Department prior to spending 25 years at and retiring from General Motors. He was a member of the Port William Methodist Church, the Greenville Moose Lodge and a former boy scout leader. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn "Lyn" (Reynolds) Liebherr, whom he married on Sept. 3, 1955; his sons, R. Michael (Mary) Liebherr of Omaha, NE and G. Mark Liebherr of Greenville; and his grandchildren, Robert Michael Liebherr, Jon Ryan Liebherr, George Robert Liebherr and Dannielle Nicole Liebherr. Services will be held at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, 1000 N. Broadway, Greenville, OH, Monday, April 20 at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Doug Baker officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 21 at 11 a.m. at the New Maple Grove Cemetery at Port William, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5-7 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to either the Cancer Association of Darke County or State of the Heart Hospice.
