Robert W. "Dauber"

Robert W. "Dauber" Cline, 87, of Greenville, passed away late Tuesday evening, August 4, 2009 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born in Greenville, son of the late Irvin W. and Carma (Schlamb) Cline. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Edythe L (Weikert) Cline; a daughter, Linda Bain; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Cline. A 1941 graduate of Greenville High School, Dauber was a self employed painter in the Greenville area for over 30 years. He was a Veteran of the US Coast Guard having served during WWII. He had attended Beamsville Christian Church in Beamsville. He is survived by a son, David (Connie Brinley) Cline of Greenville; grandchildren, Lisa (Ron) Hileman, Michelle (Ross) Diaz and Jody (Rick) Hocker all of Greenville, Jeff (Joy) Cline of Columbus, Julie (Shane) Beggs of Canada and Justin (Kelly) Cline of Cincinnati; and 18 great grandchildren. Graveside services with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard will be held Friday, August 7 at 2:30 p.m. at the Greenville Cemetery (old part) with the Rev. Sam Hoeflich officiating. There will be no public visitation. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Leukemia Foundation. Services have been entrusted with the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.
