Roger L. McEowen

Roger L. McEowen, 89, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio. 

He was born on July 10, 1934, in Rossburg, Ohio, to the late Lowell and Dortha (Hathaway) McEowen. 

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen (Connely) McEowen; and his daughter, Deborah Kay (McEowen) Brown; his siblings, Robert (Mary Kate) McEowen, Ralph (June) McEowen, and Rita (Ronald) Young.

Roger is survived by his son, Jeff McEowen of Conway, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Brad (Shannon) McEowen, Bailey (Jason) Trick, Brenna (Charles) Lyons, Grayson McEowen, Melissa (Greg) Nicholson, and Brian Gabriel; and numerous great grandchildren that he loved and adored. Roger is also survived by his dear friend, Julie Brumbaugh. 

Roger was a graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School. He spent his career as an Engineer and worked for various companies before retiring from Corning Glass. Roger loved the outdoors and his passion was gardening. 

A celebration of Roger's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery. 

Guests may visit with Roger's family on Monday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at noon. 

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Miami County.
