Ronald Vernon Sagraves

Ronald Vernon Sagraves, 67, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

He was born on July 7, 1954, in Dayton, to the late James and Jean (Skidmore) Sagraves.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his good friends, Dave Millot and Doug Smith.

Ron retired from Whirlpool after working there for 15 years. He had many passions, but most revolved around four wheels. He loved cars, drag racing, NASCAR and Corvettes. He liked to tinker on hotrods and collected model and diecast cars. He was an original member of the Rat Pack Car Club in Dayton since 1974. His other great love was camping. He loved spending time with Mariann at the Stillwater Beach Camp Ground in Versailles, Ohio, where they had been the camp host for the past several years. While pulling his camper, he was always on the lookout for a Walmart parking lot, or as he would call it, "free camping". He dabbled in just about everything, and enjoyed being with those he loved.

Ron is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mariann (Roberts) Sagraves, whom he married on July 7, 2000; his son, Ronnie (Brittany) Sagraves, Jr., of Kenton, Ohio; his other children, Cara Sattar and her three children, Christopher Cook and his son, Katrina (William) Fletcher, and Kristina (Drew) Platfoot; his little buddy Madd Maxx; his grandchildren, Darien, Ethan, Riliegh, Felicia, Raelynn, Colton, Brayden, Gemma, Billy, and Alistair; his sisters, Debbie (Jim) Lockhart of Dayton, and Sandi (Mike) Browne of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Ronald also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, J.R., Mikey, D.J., Brandon "BB", and Cassie, Dusty, Dylan, and Velvet, Ryan and Lacie, Mandy, Nick and Austin, Cameron, Adam, Cassady, and Brittni; and countless friends from Whirlpool, the Rat Pack car club and Stillwater Campgrounds.

A Celebration of Ron's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Jim Meredith officiating.

His family will receiving guest on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM.
