Ruth Eileen Falknor

Ruth E. Falknor, 74, of New Madison, passed away unexpectedly at the Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana on April 23, 2009. Ruth was born November 23, 1934 to the late Raymond C. and Mabel (Stump) Campbell.
Ruth worked at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio and was a member of the Ft. Jefferson United Methodist and the New Madison United Methodist Churches. She was also a member of the Tri Village Alumni Association, the New Madison Sesqui Centennial Committee and the Tri Village School Building Committee. Ruth enjoyed working with her flowers and spending time with family most of all her grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim Falknor of New Madison whom she married August 1, 1953; two sons, Chris Falknor of Kettering, Ohio and Kirk And wife Becky Falknor of Bowling Green, Ohio; five grandchildren, Nathan, Claire, Jessi, Brandon and wife Melissa, and Casey Falknor; and one great granddaughter, Shelby Falknor; one sister Karen and husband Steve Werner of Clarkston, Michigan.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Campbell.
A private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Greenmound Cemetery with the Rev, Doug Baker being asked to officiate. Family request in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the New Madison Fire Department or the Tri Village Rescue Squad.
