Susie "Alice" Karn, 97, of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the State of the Heart Care Center in Greenville.
She was born on December 3, 1921 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Diller and Susie (McNutt) Baker.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Karn in 2014; her infant son, Paul Karn Jr.; five brothers; and one sister.
Alice was a member of Castine Church of the Brethren. She had worked for Arcanum-Butler as a custodian. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and fishing.
Alice is survived by three sons, Gene and Jean Karn of Medway, Ohio, Allen Karn of Arcanum, Ohio, and Tom and Carolina Karn of Bryan, Texas; her three step-daughters, Hazel Meyers of Greenville, Judy Rayner of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Edie and Rick Detz of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Alice's life will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Castine Church of the Brethren, 624 US-127, Arcanum, Ohio, with Pastor Greg Hyer officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Ft. Jefferson.
The family will be receiving guests on Monday, from 5PM to 8PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, 215 Washington Street, New Madison, Ohio.
