Sara "Sally" L. Bennett

Sara "Sally" Louise Bennett, née Moore, 95, passed away March 18th, 2023, in her home surrounded by family.

Sally was born on September 19, 1927, in Dayton, Ohio, to Thomas W. Moore and Louise Moore (Uhl).

She attended New Madison Schools and spent her early working years as a telephone switchboard operator. On August 23, 1946, she married the love of her life and started farming alongside him.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Bennett) Webber of Hilliard, Ohio; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Case) Clemens (Shane Clemens) of Pickerington, Ohio, and Sara (Webber) Wagner (Nathan Wagner) of Hilliard, Ohio; her great grandchildren, Maddison, Nick, Faith, and Colt Clemens, and Lillian and Avery Wagner; and her daughter in love, Gwen Tinkle.

In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Bob Bennett, and her daughters, Lucinda and Becky.

A celebration of Sally's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, Ohio.

Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, pay tribute to Sally's life by performing a random act of kindness (big or small) for a friend, neighbor, or stranger. Memorial donations can be made to Tri-Village Rescue Services.
