Sharon A. Higgins

Sharon A. Higgins, 78, of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at her home in Kentucky.

She was born on November 15, 1943, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Jerrald and Carolyn (Garland) Brewer.

Sharon attended the Ansonia United Methodist Church and was currently attending Somerset United Methodist Church. She worked for Sheller Globe in Union City, Indiana for over 28 years. Sharon then worked for Rest Haven in Greenville and was also a health aide for Hospice of Darke and Mercer Counties.

Sharon loved getting together with nine other couples, known as the Fossil Friends. She also enjoyed following her granddaughter, Sydney, thru high school and college, as she played softball.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth Higgins, whom she married on December 12, 1964; her daughter, Monica (Charles) Fourman of Burnside, Kentucky; her granddaughter, Sydney Fourman of Burnside; and her siblings, Judith (Gary) Middleton of Ansonia, Thomas (Margo) Brewer of Union City, Indiana, Timothy (Lenita) Brewer of Ansonia, and Terry (Kelly) Brewer of Union City, Ohio.

A celebration of Sharon's life will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Joe Royer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

Guests may visit with Sharon's family on Sunday, December 26, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
