Shawn P. " Stogie" Hufnagle

Shawn "Stogie" Hufnagle, 55, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.

He was born on August 29, 1965, in Greenville, Ohio, to Wyonda Jeanne (Riddle) Hufnagle of Greenville, Ohio, and Joseph Earl Hufnagle of Oak Hill, Florida.

Shawn was preceded in death by his infant brother, Michael Patrick Hufnagle; his sister, Tracy Flynn; and his uncle, Okey Riddle.

In addition to his parents, Shawn is survived by his partner of over 30 years, Diann Cox of Alliance, his son, Brian (Cindy) Hufnagle of Columbus, Ohio; his three grandchildren; his sister, Lisa (Scott) Mowen of Yorkshire, Ohio; his aunt, Fran Walker of Greenville, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Shawn was a 1984 graduate of Greenville High School where he took part in sports and theater. After high school, Shawn served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals but enjoyed all sports. Shawn has lived in Alliance for the past 25 years and has worked as a desk service agent for Super 8 and Comfort Inn hotels. After a long day at work, Shawn loved to relax with a good cigar with friends earning him the nickname Stogie. He enjoyed playing pool and darts, and taking long drives with Diann.

Shawn's family will be receiving guests on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. No services will be held at this time.
