Steve L. Mcnew

Steve L. McNew, 58, of New Paris, Ohio, passed away, unexpectedly, at his home on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
He was born on May 16, 1963, in Richmond, Indiana, to F. Delores (Ponder) McNew of Richmond, and the late Gene E. McNew.
Steve was a 1981 graduate of Tri-Village High School. He spent over 25 years working for Contract Industrial Tooling in Richmond. When he wasn't working, Steve could be found fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and his beloved dog, Jaxson. He also enjoyed going on vacation, especially on cruises.
In addition to his mother, Steve is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diane (Sullenbarger) McNew, whom he married on March 26, 1983; his children, Jessica (Kelly) Ridout of New Paris, and Matt (Kat) McNew of New Paris; his grandchildren, Hunter, Owen, Brant, and Cash Ridout, and Emmett and Melody "Edie" McNew; his siblings, Gene (Kelly) McNew, Jr. of Connersville, Indiana, Brian McNew of Richmond, and Melissa (Jim) Gross of Hollansburg, Ohio; his stepmother, Linda McNew of New Paris; family friend, Vicki Battista of Richmond; his in-laws, Jack and Regina "Jean" Sullenbarger of New Madison; his brother and sister-in-law, David (Melissa) Sullenbarger of Arcanum; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Steve's family will be receiving guests on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Greenmound Cemetery.
