Steven D. Raymond, 55, of Greenville, passed away early Saturday morning, March 14, 2009 at his residence. He was born April 29, 1953 in Hemet, California, son of David Raymond of Parker Dam, CA and the late Bonnie (Jarrell) Raymond. Steven was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a auto mechanic having worked for Dale Carter Ford in Eaton, OH. He was an avid fisherman and Nascar Fan. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 34 years, Faith (Miller) Raymond, whom he married August 2, 1974; his children, Michelle (Jason) Perry of Arcanum, Jeremy (Jasmine) Raymond of San Diego, CA and Kyle Raymond of Union City, OH; grandchildren, Kelcie, Jordan and Logan Perry, Elijah and Kylie Raymond; a sister, Judy Reynolds of New Mexico; brothers, Vance (Cindy) Gereaux of Oak Hills, CA and Terry (Kellie) Raymond of Parker Dam, CA; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Dewayne and Mary Lou Miller of Greenville; and a very close friend, Kevin Hart. Services will be held Wednesday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Ft. Jefferson, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the family to offset medical expenses.
