Sue Varvel

Sue Varvel, 70, of Union City, Ohio, passed away Sunday morning, August 17, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.

She was born December 23, 1943, in Middletown, OH, the daughter of the late Francis G. and Lorena (Snapp) Lowe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank "Junior", Ronald, Edmund, and Kenneth Lowe; sisters, Onida "Sis" Elkins, Linda Murphy and Marlene Lowe

Sue was a homemaker, loved to read and crotchet.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Larry E. Varvel, Sr., whom she married September 15, 1962; children, Faith A. (William) Garland, Diana L. (Frank Burkey) Dahlstrom, Wanda McNew, Larry E. (Melissa) Varvel, Jr., Teresa J. Varvel; god daughter, Kendra (Matt) Sias; grandchildren, Jessica Begley, Celeste Gray, Kyle Gilbert, Hayley Garland, Kellylouise Yount, Russell Burkey, Blake Burkey, Jasmine Marie Burkey, Jeremy McNew, Krystin Wolfe, Brieanne Varvel, Joshua Varvel, Codee Hinson, Kaylee Varvel; 12 Great grandchildren; brother, Douglas Lowe.

Services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, OH. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday. Memorial may be given to the family to help defray the funeral expense.
