Thomas H. Wilson

Thomas Hartzell Wilson, 76, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday Morning, March 10, 2009 at his residence. Tom was born on July 4, 1932 to the late Damon and Helen (Halderman) Wilson in Greenville, OH where Tom was a member of the Greenville Lodge #143 of F & AM and the 32 degree Scottish Rite of Dayton, OH. He had served in the US Navy during the Korean War as a Boatswain's Mate Third Class on the USS Saipan. After his service he worked at People's Livestock Exchange Wilson Brother's and was co-owner of the Triangle. Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Jo (Burford) Wilson whom he married January 3, 1953; his daughter, Kim (Joe) Toman of Elmira, NY; son, Kelly T. Wilson of Greenville, OH; grandsons, Zach Toman of Elmira, NY, Mark (Dusti) Toman of Tipp City, OH, Jason Toman of Chesterfield, MO; granddaughters, Jamie (Rick) Looker of Greenville, OH, Kelly Megan Wilson of Navarre, FL, Tamara Kailea Wilson, Madeline Elizabeth Wilson and Hannah Claire Wilson all of Greenville, OH; and a brother, James H. Wilson of Okeechobee, FL; great grandson Jayden Thomas Wilson of Greenville, OH. Tom will be fondly remembered by his family for his fishing trips and many happy hours spent at their lake home in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada, Where he was known to have caught many "Master Angler Fish" on Lake Athapapuskow. A celebration of Tom's Life will be held Friday, March 13, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Triangle, 4035 St. Rt. 502, Greenville, OH, with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to either the American Cancer Society or State of the Heart Hospice. Mary Jo, Kim and Kelly would like to extend our deepest thanks to the staff of State of the Heart Hospice for their excellent service and a special heartfelt appreciation to Lynne Wilson (Niece) for her loving assistance during Tom's final days. Arrangements are under the direction of the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, OH.
