Thompson Edward Arnold

Thompson "Tom" Edward Arnold, 78, of New Paris, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, at EverHeart Care Center in Greenville, Ohio.

He was born on February 17, 1944, in Greenfield, Indiana, to the late Ephriam Ashton and Blanch Elizabeth (Monday) Arnold.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a daughter, Darla Kay Furr.

Tom had a passion for things with wheels and things that went fast. If you could drive it, ride it, race it or fly it, he loved it. He was a licensed pilot and did it with one eye, fooling every DMV in the state. He was a collector of anything that caught his eye, wheeling and dealing, trading and selling. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and playing solitaire on the computer.

Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years, Tresa (Cobb) Arnold, whom he married on December 7, 1974; his children, Tom (Tami) Arnold of Monroe, Ohio, Tammy (James) Hagans of Greenfield, Michelle (Anson) Burris of Greenfield, Tiffani (Christopher) Pine of Modoc, Indiana, and Tyler (Hannah) Arnold of Greenville; his 12 grandchildren with one on the way; his 5 great grandchildren; his sister, Donna Monday of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his brothers, Larry Arnold of Greenfield and Ed Arnold of Indianapolis.

Tom's family will be receiving guests on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.

A celebration of life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, with Pastor Tony Price officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery.
