Vera L. Threewits

Vera L. Threewits, 93, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.

She was born on March 28, 1929, in Greenville, to the late Roy and Cecil (Shuff) Dickey.

In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Threewits, whom she married on March 6, 1948 and passed away on November 26, 2019; and her siblings, Everett Dickey, Velma Van Kirk, and Glen Dickey.

Vera was a graduate of Jackson High School. She then remained at home as a homemaker and farm wife, while caring for her family. In her free time, Vera enjoyed quilting and sewing and would oftentimes volunteer at the Garst Museum. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and EUM in Greenville.

Vera is survived by her children, Sharon (Ronnie) Kaugher of Union City, Ohio, Karen (Don) Cope of Lascassas, Tennessee, Lora (Mark) Willis of Union City, Ohio, Carl (Brenda) Threewits of Stuart, Florida, and Teresa Edger of Greenville, Ohio; her 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Dickey and brother-in-law, Lowell Threewits of Union City, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Vera's life will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.

Guests may visit with Vera's family on Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
