Verl Eloise Caughran

Verl Eloise (Richman) Caughran, 96, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away early Thursday, October 29, 2015, at her residence.
She was born October 3, 1919, in Daleville, IN, a daughter of the late Cary and Elsie (Ballinger) Richman.

In addition to her parents, Verl was preceded in death by her sister, Harriet Richman, and her brother, Melvin D. "Bud" Richman.

Verl graduated from Daleville Indiana High School. Afterwards, she attended Ball State university where she was awarded a bachelors degree. She taught music near Union City, IN and in Daleville, IN. She also worked as a clerk on the Maxwell Airforce Base in Alabama.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Roy W. Caughran, whom she married October 18, 1941; a daughter, Carol (Raymond) Marion of Covington, OH; 2 grandchildren, Michael (Angela) Marion of Covington, OH and Michelle (Christopher) Kannel of Montpelier, OH; 6 great grandchildren, Corey, Bradley and Ian Marion and Olivia, Dexter and Emily Kannel and Baby Marion on the way.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
