Vivian F. Coffman, 82, of Greenville and formerly of Lewisburg, passed away on October 13, 2008 at the Gade Nursing Home in Greenville after an extended illness. She was born September 25, 1926 in Preble County daughter of the late Charles and Waneda White.
Vivian was a hardworking, loving mother who raised eight children on her own. She would always make sure the children came first. She loved to sew, garden and take care of her flowers. Vivian was retired from the Ohio Plate Glass Co. in Lewisburg.
Vivian is survived by her children Sharon Snyder, Richard Hyatt, Steve Coffman, Cheryl Coffman, Debbie Catron, Joyce Smyer and Todd Coffman; one sister, Armetha “Kitty” Black; grandchildren, Jennifer Helf, Jennifer Gregg, Dana Burris, Amy Coffman, Tracy Coffman, Tina Coffman and Garret Burris; great grandchildren, Christe Helf and Rori Helf and nieces and nephews.
Vivian is preceded in death by her husband William Coffman; a son Larry Coffman and a brother Adrian “Whitey” White.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Barnes Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Eric Fee being asked to officiate. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 also at the Barnes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rose Lawn Cemetery in Lewisburg.
