Vivian Joan Falknor

Vivian (Schaar) Falknor, 92, of New Madison, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at State of the Heart Care Center in Greenville.

She was born August 13, 1925 in Butler Township, Darke County, Ohio, to the late Otto and Ruth (Charles) Schaar.

In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Falknor; and her grandson, Michael Falknor.

Vivian enjoyed crocheting, traveling, gardening, reading, refinishing antique furniture, and weaving rugs out of recycled fabrics.

Vivian is survived by her children, Lee (Barbara) Falknor of New Madison, Lonnie (Brenda) Falknor of Versailles, and Lyle (Brenda) Falknor of Bellevue, Ohio; her grandchildren; Krista (Bill) Gray, Meggan (Brandon) Moore, Nathan Falknor, Mark Falknor, Ryan (Erin) Falknor, David (Kristie) Falknor, Ben Falknor; 11 great grandchildren; her brother, Harold Schaar of New Madison; her sister, Jane Chambers of Eldorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Sam Shilot officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit from 11 AM - 1 PM on Monday prior to the service at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care, 1350 N. Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
