Walter E. Swartz, Jr.

Walter “Buster” Eugene Swartz, Jr., age 67, of New Madison, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Union City Care Center. He was born on August 1, 1956 in Greenville to the late Walter and Patsy Swartz. Buster grew up in New Madison, he also lived in Greenville and Celina.

Buster worked at Stan Ray & Sons and drove truck for a living. He enjoyed camping, fishing, slot car racing and riding his motorcycle. Buster was a member of the Greenville City Motorcycle Club.

Buster was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Orville and Clista Hecker and Walter L and Daisy Swartz; and a cousin, Gary L Fort, Sr.

Buster is survived by his girlfriend, Doris Powell from South Carolina; a daughter, Nichole Lee Swartz; two sons, Eric Andrew Swartz of Greenville and Kyle Anthony Swartz of Arcanum; a brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Diane Swartz of Greenville; and a sister LuAnn Sewell of Cincinnati. Along with cousins Shirley Fort, Gary Fort, Jr. and Lloyd Gerald Fort all of Greenville and an Aunt Geraldine Hecker of Texas along with cousins, nieces and nephews in Ohio and Texas.
