William E. King

William E. King, 66, of Gettysburg, passed away at his residence of a brief illness. He was born the son of the late Elmer and Edna (Jordan) King. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy K. Thayer on August 12, 2007. Bill was retired from Crayex in Piqua where he had worked for 30 years. He is survived by a son, Kevin (Rene) King of Van Wert; a daughter, Dr. Kristine (Scott) Clark of Gettysburg; 4 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; a sister, Betty Baker of Laura and a nephew. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 12 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Fee officiating. Burial will follow in the Newcomer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. till time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 12. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
